Description
This Tradewinds, Inc. Husky Model H-5000 is a bolt-action sporting rifle chambered in 7mm Rem. Magnum and built upon a Swedish-manufactured HVA action. The firearm features a blued steel barrel and receiver paired with a polished bolt body and handle. The top of the barrel is marked TRADEWINDS, INC. TACOMA, WASHINGTON HUSKY MODEL H-5000 7MM REM. MAGNUM. The left side of the receiver is stamped HVA ACTION – MADE IN SWEDEN, while the left side of the barrel near the receiver carries the serial number 310048 and a Swedish Nitro proof mark. The rifle is equipped with a checkered wood stock featuring an attractive grain, a Monte Carlo comb, and a pistol grip. For sighting, the barrel is fitted with a hooded ramp front sight, and the receiver mounts a Nikon Prostaff scope with a BDC reticle in two-piece rings. The stock is finished with a Pachmayr White Line rubber recoil pad and comes with an ornate, embossed leather sling depicting outdoor hunting motifs. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in very good condition overall. The original blued finish on the barrel and receiver remains largely intact, showing only minor surface wear and light handling marks. The polished bolt exhibits typical operational cycling wear but remains bright. The wood stock is well-preserved with sharp checkering and minimal dings or scratches. The Pachmayr recoil pad is supple and intact. The Nikon Prostaff scope features clear optics and a functional reticle. While the bore was not inspected, the overall condition suggests the rifle has been well-maintained. The bolt action cycles smoothly and locks up tight; however, we have not function-tested this firearm.
