Description
This lot consists of a collection of 97 rounds of mixed vintage ammunition contained within four original boxes. The assortment includes a 12-gauge Peters Victor Trap box with markings specifying U.S. PROPERTY and 8 CH. along with technical data W19-059-ORD63 NO. MX7168 CH. EQUIV. 3-1 1/8-8 CH. DUPONT MX. and RUSTLESS SMOKLESS SHOTGUN SHELLS. Also included is a 12-gauge Remington-DuPont Kleanbore Nitro Express Extra Long Range box marked WETPROOF and EQUIV. 3 3/4 Drs – 1 1/4 Oz. – 6 C. The collection further features a 12-gauge Peters High Velocity box with a New Peters Crimp label and markings for LONG RANGE HARD HITTING SHOTGUN SHELLS. The fourth box is a 16-gauge Peters High Velocity plastic shell box with KLEANBORE PRIMING and POWER PISTON markings specifying PS16-6 3 1/8-6 2 3/4 IN. The internal contents comprise a variety of vintage orange, blue, and green paper hulls with brass heads, alongside blue ribbed plastic hulls marked POWER PISTON. Transcription of shell markings includes Remington Express, Kleanbore, and Extra Long Range.
Condition report:
The ammunition boxes exhibit significant shelf wear, including scuffing, edge fraying, and a large surface tear on the face of one Peters High Velocity box. The boxes are only partially full or contain a mix of shells not original to each specific box. The individual rounds show age-appropriate condition, with some oxidation and tarnishing present on the brass heads and surface grime on the paper hulls. The blue plastic hulls appear structurally sound. This ammunition has not been function-tested and is sold as a vintage collectible.
