Description
This lot features a highly engraved semi-automatic M1911A1-style pistol chambered in 9mm, manufactured Taylor’s & Co. Inc. The firearm features a 5 inch barrel and showcases a custom nickel-plated finish with extensive scroll engraving performed by Brand Used Works across the slide and frame. The right side of the slide is specifically engraved with the script Exodus 20:13. The pistol is further embellished with 24 karat gold-plated components, including the skeletonized trigger, hammer, thumb safety, slide stop, magazine release, grip safety, and sights. The sights consist of a gold-plated rear notch and a front post containing a green fiber optic insert. The frame is fitted with textured black and grey layered composite grips. Key markings include the serial number TA2009794 and M1911 A1 – FS on the right side of the frame, APINTL-PAHRUMP NV ACP PHILIPPINES on the underside of the dust cover, and CAL. 9MM on the barrel hood. Included with the firearm are two black steel magazines, the Taylor’s & Co. owner’s manual, a serialized certificate, keys, and a brown Gun Guard hardshell carrying case. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in very good condition, retaining the vast majority of its custom nickel and 24 karat gold-plated finishes. Minor finish wear is visible on the barrel hood consistent with standard action cycling. The custom engraving is deep and well-defined. Textured grips are excellent with no chips or cracks. The action appears to function correctly, though it has not been live-fire tested. Magazines and hardshell case show light signs of handling.
