Description
This lot features a collection of 57 items comprising 31 live rounds and 26 empty brass casings primarily chambered in .32 Winchester Special along with various mixed calibers. The assembly includes three vintage ammunition boxes: a green Remington Kleanbore Express box for 170 grain soft point Core-Lokt bullets, a yellow Western Super-X Silvertip box, and a green Remington Hi-Speed box. Internal inspection reveals a variety of headstamps including SUPER-X 32 WIN SPL, R-P 32 WIN SPL, REM-UMC 32 WIN SPL, and military-style markings such as LC 42, LC 68, FC 69, and DA 61. The collection contains mixed commercial and military surplus brass and cartridges stored within original cardboard dividers and vintage packaging. Packaging markings indicate the Remington Kleanbore box is cataloged as item number 5132 and the Western box is identified by the prominent Super-X and Silvertip logos. Verbatim markings on the boxes include Remington Kleanbore 32 Winchester Special and Western Super-X Silvertip 32 Winchester Special.
Condition report:
The ammunition and casings are in mixed condition with various levels of brass tarnish, surface oxidation, and lead corrosion consistent with age. The live cartridges appear to have intact primers but have not been function tested for ignition or performance. The vintage cardboard boxes show moderate wear including edge fraying, surface scuffs, small tears at the corners, and minor staining from long-term storage. The cardboard dividers remain structurally sound but show some discoloration.
