Description
This lot consists of one original Hi-Standard semi-automatic pistol magazine chambered for .22 LR. The magazine body is constructed from blued steel and features a vertical loading slot on the right side equipped with a circular thumb button designed to assist in compressing the internal coil spring for easier loading. It is fitted with a green plastic follower and an angled base plate featuring a prominent rearward-protruding toe, characteristic of magazines for High Standard target pistols such as the Supermatic and Citation series. Verbatim markings include the manufacturer name HI-STANDARD stamped into the bottom of the base plate and the numerical capacity indicators 5 and 10 stamped into the side of the magazine body adjacent to the loading slot. A rectangular magazine catch cutout is visible on the upper left side of the body.
Condition report:
The magazine is in good functional condition but shows signs of significant age and use. The blued finish has thinned considerably and exhibits areas of surface oxidation, brown patina, and light pinprick pitting across the body. The green plastic follower is intact and shows only minor wear. The internal spring remains strong and the thumb button operates smoothly throughout its travel. The stamped manufacturer and capacity markings remain clearly legible.
