Description
This is a single handcrafted ceramic beer stein manufactured by Ceramarte of Brazil for Anheuser-Busch, Inc. The stein is identified as the first in a series of six from the Busch Family Series, produced as the 2001 State Convention Stein. The exterior features a wrap-around multicolored graphic design. The primary portrait depicts Adolphus Busch, identified by a yellow ribbon banner below his image. The design incorporates several corporate icons, including a Budweiser long-neck bottle, a Michelob chalice glass, a wooden beer barrel with a St. Louis tap, and the historic brewery clock tower. Historical transportation elements are also represented, specifically a refrigerated Budweiser Beer Car and a horse-drawn delivery wagon numbered 2574. The top border features the embossed text A LEGACY OF QUALITY. The lower border displays a row of gold-toned stars above the cursive script Anheuser-Busch, Inc. and a red accent stripe at the base. The underside of the stein contains printed text identifying the series and manufacturer, along with a biographical paragraph detailing Busch’s management milestones such as the use of pasteurization, artificial refrigeration, and refrigerated rail cars. Condition report:
The item is in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or crazing. The printed graphics and embossed lettering are sharp with no signs of fading or wear. The handle and interior appear clean and unused.
