Description
This Browning BPS Field Model is a pump action shotgun chambered for 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells. It features a 30 inch blued steel barrel equipped with a ventilated rib and a single silver front bead sight. Prominent markings on the left side of the barrel include INVECTOR BPS SPECIAL STEEL 12GA-2 3/4″ AND 3″ FIELD MODEL-30″ while the right side is stamped BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. and MADE IN JAPAN. The blued receiver is designed with a top tang safety, a bottom ejection port, and a gold plated trigger, with the serial number 06091PX152 clearly stamped on the lower right side. The firearm is fitted with a checkered, gloss finished walnut buttstock and forend. A brown rubber White Line recoil pad embossed with the Browning name is mounted to the butt. The action appears to function correctly, though the firearm has not been function tested with live ammunition. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The firearm is in good condition, showing moderate evidence of field use. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver remains largely intact with minor thinning at the edges and a small nick on the barrel surface. The walnut furniture exhibits various scratches and scuffs consistent with handling, though the checkering remains well defined. The bore is bright and appears free of pitting or obstruction. The action cycles smoothly and the trigger remains crisp.
