Description
This Winchester Model 70 bolt action rifle is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and is configured as a sporting rifle for big game hunting. The firearm features a blued finish on the metal components, a jeweled bolt, and a knurled bolt handle for enhanced grip. It is fitted with a checkered walnut Monte Carlo-style stock that includes a raised cheekpiece, a black forend tip, and a black pistol grip cap, all accented with white line spacers. The barrel has been drilled for sights which are currently missing, and the receiver is equipped with a pair of Weaver 1-inch scope rings. A brown Pachmayr White Line rubber recoil pad is attached to the buttstock, and the lot includes a leather sling with a basketweave pattern. Verbatim barrel markings specify WINCHESTER ® MODEL 70 – 30-06 SPRG. and MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL. The receiver is stamped WINCHESTER on the left side, and the front ring displays the serial number G1331893 on the right side. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain approximately 90-95% of the original blued finish, showing light wear at the muzzle and a few scattered surface scratches. The walnut stock is in good overall condition with various minor dings, handling marks, and shallow scratches consistent with field use. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The bolt action appears to function correctly and cycles smoothly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The rubber recoil pad shows light age but remains intact and functional.
