Description
This Marlin Model 336 is a lever-action centerfire rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester, configured as a classic American hunting carbine. It features a 20-inch Micro-Groove barrel with a full-length tubular magazine and a blued steel receiver complemented by a gold-finished trigger. The firearm is fitted with a smooth wood stock and forend, ending in a black plastic buttplate embossed with the Marlin script and featuring a white-line spacer. It comes equipped with a Cabela’s 3-9x40mm scope calibrated for .30-30, mounted on high-rise see-through rings that permit the use of the factory iron sights, including a hooded ramp front sight and adjustable folding rear sight. Key barrel markings include THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A., EST. 1870 – MICRO-GROOVE BARREL – MOD. 336, and CAL. 30-30 WIN. A JM proof mark is visible on the left side of the barrel at the receiver junction, and the serial number 20149206 is stamped on the upper tang. The lot includes a set of scope caps and a Marlin centerfire lever-action owner’s manual. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in good overall condition with the blued finish showing approximately 95% coverage, displaying only light handling wear and minor thinning at the edges. The wood stock and forend are structurally sound with scattered light scratches and small dings consistent with field use. The bore is bright with sharp Micro-Groove rifling. The lever action and trigger mechanisms appear to function correctly, though the rifle has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The Cabela\'s optic features clear glass and a crisp reticle.
