Description
This Remington Model 572 Fieldmaster is a pump-action rimfire rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges, designed for versatile recreational shooting and small game hunting. The rifle features a 21-inch barrel with a tubular magazine mounted underneath. The metal surfaces are finished in a durable bluing on both the receiver and barrel. The furniture consists of a wood buttstock and a grooved forend, both exhibiting an attractive glossy finish. The rifle is equipped with factory adjustable rear sights and a front blade sight, supplemented by a receiver-mounted K-Mart All-Pro 4×15 rimfire scope with coated optics, manufactured in Japan. A checkered hard plastic buttplate marked with the Remington logo is fitted to the stock, and sling swivel studs are installed on the buttstock and magazine tube band. Key markings include Remington Fieldmaster MODEL 572 on the left side of the receiver along with the serial number A1441990. The barrel is marked REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. Remington 22 SHORT, LONG AND LONG RIFLE and bears an REP proof mark in an oval on the right side. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in good overall condition. The blued finish on the receiver and barrel shows light handling wear and minor scuffing on the sharp edges. The wood stock and forend retain a strong glossy finish with scattered light dings and surface scuffs consistent with field use. The action appears to function correctly, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The scope optics appear clear with a standard crosshair reticle. The bore was not inspected.
