Description
This Remington Model 513-T Matchmaster is a bolt action target rifle chambered for .22 Long Rifle cartridges and equipped with a heavy target profile barrel. The barrel is marked with the model designation THE MATCHMASTER REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MODEL 513-T as well as Remington REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. and the manufacturer information REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. – PATENTS PENDING. Further barrel markings specify .22 LONG RIFLE and include the factory date or proof codes I C S S and P A T. The rifle features a smooth walnut target style stock with a wide forend, an integrated adjustable metal accessory rail, and a checkered metal buttplate. This specimen is fitted with a Burris 4X fixed power scope featuring a fine crosshair reticle mounted to the receiver. Please note that the original factory iron sights are missing from this rifle. One detachable curved box magazine is included. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain a moderate amount of their original blued finish which shows thinning and wear consistent with age. There are several areas of surface oxidation and pitting visible on the barrel, particularly concentrated near the muzzle end. The walnut target stock is structurally sound but displays numerous dings, scratches, and compressions from handling and field use. The bore was not inspected but the exterior of the muzzle shows significant oxidation. The bolt action appears to cycle smoothly, though the firearm has not been function tested. The Burris 4X scope optics are clear and the reticle is intact. The magazine shows finish wear but remains functional.
