The handle is composed of a textured black synthetic material with ergonomic finger grooves, a heavy stainless steel crossguard, and a flat stainless steel pommel cap suitable for light hammering. The original sheath is constructed of black Cordura nylon with a protective inner liner and a reinforced tip. The reverse of the sheath features a plastic mounting plate with metal ALICE clips for attachment to military web gear and a split ring at the bottom for a leg tie-down cord. The right ricasso of the blade is stamped with the model designation LMF and serial number 023034. The left ricasso is stamped GERBER U.S.A. The mounting plate on the sheath features the Gerber Legendary Blades logo and company address in Portland, OR.
Condition report:
The knife and sheath are in good, used condition. The blade exhibits minor spots of surface oxidation and light rust near the junction with the crossguard. The handle material and nylon sheath show signs of honest field use, including moderate fading of the black fabric and minor accumulation of dust and lint. The assembly remains structurally sound with no significant damage to the blade edge or sheath hardware.
