Description
This Sheridan Products Inc. Knocabout is a single-shot, break-action pistol chambered in .22 caliber, featuring a tip-up barrel design intended for utility and recreational shooting. The pistol is equipped with a 5 inch blued steel barrel and a steel frame that exhibits a blued finish showing visible thinning and surface wear throughout, particularly along the edges, muzzle, and grip frame. The furniture consists of two-piece brown checkered composition grips that display a diamond-shaped logo containing a stylized letter S. Sights consist of a fixed front blade and a rear notch integrated into the top of the barrel latch mechanism. The firearm is accompanied by a fitted tan leather holster with a belt loop. Verbatim markings on the right side of the frame include SHERIDAN PRODUCTS INC. / RACINE, WISCONSIN U.S.A. / MADE IN / U.S.A. and a stamped S near the safety lever. The left side of the frame is stamped with the serial number 02963. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish shows moderate wear and thinning consistent with use, particularly on the barrel and frame, with some areas of light surface oxidation and scattered handling marks present. The bore was not inspected but the action appears to function correctly; however, the firearm has not been function-tested. The checkered composition grips are in good condition with minor surface scratches and slight flattening to the checkering. The leather holster shows surface scuffs and signs of age but remains structurally sound with intact stitching.
