Description
This lot features a Ruger New Model Blackhawk 50th Anniversary single action revolver chambered in .44 Magnum. The firearm is configured with a 6.5-inch barrel featuring a ramp front sight and a Micro adjustable rear sight. The exterior metal surfaces display a high-luster factory blued finish, while the furniture consists of black checkered synthetic grips with inset silver-tone Ruger medallions. A distinctive design element is the unfluted six-shot cylinder, which is decorated with stamped cartridge symbols around its circumference. Extensive factory markings include a gold-tone commemorative engraving on the top of the barrel reading 50 YEARS OF .44 MAGNUM 1956 TO 2006. The left side of the barrel is marked BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. and the left side of the frame is stamped RUGER NEW MODEL BLACKHAWK .44 MAGNUM CAL. The serial number 89-01794 is located on the right side of the frame. This cased set includes the original red plastic factory case with a matching label for model 00867, the instruction manual, a commemorative 50th-anniversary booklet, a Ruger-branded cable lock, and a test fire shell casing envelope dated 03/23/2006. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent, near-new condition, showing minimal signs of handling or use. The factory blued finish remains deep and consistent with no visible holster wear, scratches, or thinning. The bore is very bright with crisp, sharp rifling. The single action functions correctly with a tight cylinder lockup and a crisp trigger pull. The synthetic grips are in excellent condition with no dings or wear to the checkering. The original factory case and all accompanying documentation are well-preserved.
