Description
This lot comprises forty-eight rounds of .25-20 caliber centerfire ammunition and approximately two hundred .25-20 WCF bullet tips for reloading. The ammunition is stored in a clear plastic organizer and features mixed brass cases with a variety of vintage and modern headstamps. Visible headstamps include REM-UMC 25-20, WESTERN 25-20, W.R.A. 25-20 WIN, PETERS 25-20, U.S.C. CO. 25-20, and SUPER SPEED 25-20 W.C.F. These cartridges are loaded with lead-exposed soft point bullets. Included with the ammunition are two blue plastic MidwayUSA boxes containing bulk reloading components. The labels on these boxes identify them as 100-count packages of Remington 86-grain Soft Point (SP) bullets for .25-20 WCF, originally sold as repackaged reloading components by MidwayUSA of Columbia, Missouri. The labels feature item numbers 325-04-085 and 325-4-85. The reloading bullets are copper-jacketed with soft lead tips and are presented in an unused condition within the reusable boxes.
Condition report:
The ammunition cartridges show varying degrees of surface tarnish, oxidation, and discoloration on the brass cases and lead bullet tips, which is typical for mixed vintage ammunition. The primers exhibit various finishes and signs of age. The reloading bullet tips in the blue MidwayUSA containers appear to be in good, unused condition with only minor oxidation present on the exposed lead. The plastic storage cases are functional, though the paper labels on the MidwayUSA boxes show typical wear, staining, and some edge lifting consistent with age.
