Description
This lot comprises a total of 242 rounds of .22 LR and .22 short ammunition across seven individual containers of varying fullness. The collection includes three 50-round clear plastic boxes of CCI .22 Long Rifle cartridges from the Merry Christmas 2016 commemorative edition, featuring a festive prairie dog label. The vintage assortment includes four cardboard boxes: Remington Hi-Speed Kleanbore .22 Short, Remington Hi-Speed Kleanbore .22 Long Rifle Hollow Point, Western Super-X .22 Long Rifle Shot, and Revelation Super Range .22 Short Non-Fouling. Verbatim markings on the packaging include Remington Hi-Speed Kleanbore, Western Super-X, and Revelation Super Range Cartridges. Individual cartridges exhibit headstamps including the letter U and HI SPEED U for Remington and an F for the Revelation rounds. The cardboard boxes show varying levels of shelf wear, edge fraying, and scuffing consistent with their age. The cartridges themselves display surface oxidation, lead patina, and some discoloration to the brass and copper-washed components.
Condition report:
The modern CCI plastic containers are in good condition with minor shelf scuffing. The vintage cardboard packaging shows moderate to significant wear, including edge fraying, surface scuffs, and minor tearing; the Revelation box exhibits the most pronounced surface loss and staining. The ammunition inside shows varied physical condition from clean cases to rounds with significant lead bloom on the bullets and greenish oxidation or heavy patina on the brass and copper-washed cases. The cartridges appear to be live ammunition but have not been function tested and are sold as-is.
