Description

This lot includes 40 live rounds of 6.5mm BRM ammunition and 84 empty brass casings for the Ballistics Research Management wildcat caliber. The 6.5mm BRM is typically formed from .30-30 Winchester parent cases, and this collection features a mix of loaded rounds and components suitable for reloading. The ammunition is organized into two plastic storage containers: one red box featuring rounds with red polymer-tipped bullets and one gray box containing rounds with lead soft-point bullets. Significant handwritten labeling on the boxes includes the transcriptions 6.5 BRM 39.5 GRS 4895C and 6.5 BRM S.P. which suggest specific load data and bullet configurations. The 84 empty brass casings are contained in clear plastic bags, with visible headstamps verbatim transcribed as R-P 30-30 WIN. Given the wildcat nature of the caliber and the accompanying load notes, these items are identified as handloaded ammunition and should be treated as components for salvage or reloading purposes only.

Condition report:

The brass casings exhibit varying degrees of surface tarnishing, oxidation, and typical signs of previous use and firing. Several empty cases retain their spent primers. The loaded ammunition appears to be in stable condition with bullets seated properly, though as handloads, they have not been tested for pressure or safety. The plastic storage boxes are in good functional condition with legible handwritten markings.
