Description
This Smith & Wesson Model 640-3 is a five-shot double-action-only revolver chambered for the .357 Magnum cartridge. Designed for concealed carry, it features a 2.125-inch barrel with a serrated ramp front sight and a fixed notch rear sight integrated into the top strap. The firearm is constructed of stainless steel with a brushed finish and features an internal hammer to provide a snag-free profile. The frame is fitted with textured black synthetic rubber grips with finger grooves for a secure hold. Prominent markings include the serial number CJY4010 and model 640-3 stamped on the frame under the cylinder crane. The left side of the barrel is marked S&W .357 MAGNUM and the right side is marked SMITH & WESSON. The right side of the frame features the Smith & Wesson trade mark and the standard four-line address: MADE IN U.S.A., MARCAS REGISTRADAS, SMITH & WESSON, SPRINGFIELD, MASS. Condition report:
The revolver exhibits a brushed stainless steel finish with some visible surface scratches and handling wear across the frame and cylinder. The cylinder shows a light drag line from rotation. The bore remains bright with strong, crisp rifling. The action appears to function correctly with good lockup. The textured rubber grips are in excellent condition with no significant wear or damage.
