Description
This is a Smith & Wesson Model 629-5 double action revolver chambered in .44 Magnum. Built on the stainless steel N-frame, the firearm features an 8-3/8 inch barrel with a pinned front ramp sight containing a red insert and a micro-adjustable rear sight. The revolver is configured with a six-shot unfluted cylinder, a wide target hammer, and a target trigger. The metal surfaces are finished in brushed stainless steel, and the frame is fitted with black pebbled-texture rubberized grips with integrated manufacturer medallions. Key markings include the barrel stamped SMITH & WESSON on the left side and 44 MAGNUM on the right. The right side of the frame is marked MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. while the left side bears the trade mark logo under the thumbpiece. Upon opening the cylinder, the frame is marked with serial number CE09485 and model designation 629-5, and the yoke is stamped 941. The action appears to function correctly, and the firearm exhibits minimal handling wear. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in good condition. The brushed stainless steel finish remains attractive with minor handling marks and a visible cylinder turn line. The bore is bright with clean, well-defined rifling. The rubberized grips are excellent with no tears or notable smoothing. The action appears to function correctly with good timing and lockup, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition.
