Description
This vintage camera stabilization tool is constructed with a dark-stained wooden shaft and aluminum-colored metal hardware. One end is fitted with a threaded mount for camera attachment, accompanied by a metal collar stamped MADE IN. The base end features a circular metal guard plate and two hinged foot stirrups intended for ground stabilization. These stirrups are covered in a dark, textured wrap. The metal housing at the base is stamped N.B.DRAKE.
Condition report:
The device shows significant wear consistent with age and use. The foot stirrup wraps are heavily worn with noticeable peeling and material loss. The metal components exhibit surface oxidation, scuffing, and finish wear. The wooden shaft displays various scratches and areas of finish degradation.
