Description
This lot consists of a single original blued steel box magazine designed for use with the Harrington & Richardson Reising Model 50 or Model 55 submachine gun chambered in .45 ACP. The magazine is configured as a single-stack, 20-round capacity unit, identified by the presence of five circular witness holes arranged vertically along the left side of the body. Technical features include a prominent rear guide rib for secure seating and a stamped steel floorplate. Verbatim markings include three small, downward-pointing triangular stamps located on the right side of the magazine body; however, the line of text immediately below these symbols is heavily worn and the individual characters are not clearly legible. The magazine shows characteristic features of mid-20th century military or police production.
Condition report:
The magazine retains a thinning blued finish with general handling wear and scattered patches of light surface oxidation, most notably on the floorplate and the top feed lips. The metal surfaces exhibit light scratches and minor surface wear consistent with service use. The magazine follower remains under spring tension and the feed lips appear to be in good structural condition without significant deformation.
