Description
This lot comprises a total of 40 rounds of .454 Casull centerfire ammunition produced by Barnes and HSM. The collection includes Barnes VOR-TX cartridges featuring 250-grain XPB HP projectiles and HSM cartridges loaded with 300-grain Hornady JHP-XTP bullets. Verbatim markings on the Barnes packaging include BARNES VOR-TX AMMUNITION, 454 CASULL 250 GR. XPB HP, Muzzle Velocity 1700 fps, and the code BB454CAS1. The HSM packaging is marked HSM AMMUNITION MADE IN U.S.A., 50 CENTERFIRE CARTRIDGES, and 50 454 CASULL 300 Grain HORNADY JHP-XTP, and further notes the company was Established in 1968. All cartridges feature brass casings with headstamps transcribed as 454 CASULL flanked by two five-pointed stars. The ammunition is housed in the original manufacturer cardboard boxes.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good overall condition with bright brass casings and clean primers. No significant corrosion, oxidation, or verdigris is observed on the cartridge surfaces. The ammunition appears to be live. The cardboard packaging for both brands exhibits visible storage wear, including corner fraying, scuffing, and creasing, with the HSM box showing more pronounced structural crushing and wear.
