Description
This Remington Model 1100 is a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun chambered for 12 gauge, designed for versatility in the field or at the range. The firearm is equipped with a blued steel barrel featuring a ventilated rib and a single bead front sight, and it is fixed with a modified choke. The metal surfaces consist of a blued finish, with the receiver and bolt exhibiting decorative scroll engraving patterns on both sides. The furniture is composed of checkered walnut with a high-gloss finish, including a pistol grip capped with a white diamond inlay and a corresponding forend. The stock is fitted with a black plastic Remington-branded buttplate. Key markings include the model designation Remington Model-1100 and the serial number M439690 V on the left side of the receiver. Barrel markings specify REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC. / ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A., along with 12 GA. FOR 2 3/4 IN. SHELLS and a MOD. choke stamp. Various proof marks, including a PI stamp, are visible on the barrel assembly near the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in good overall condition. The blued finish on the barrel exhibits scattered light surface oxidation and minor freckling, while the receiver bluing remains largely intact with minimal handling wear. The walnut stock and forend retain a high-gloss finish with some light surface dings and scratches consistent with moderate field use. The bore is bright and appears to be in good condition. The semi-automatic action appears to function correctly, though it has not been live-fire tested. The plastic buttplate shows some wear and abrasions to the serrated surface.
