Description
This lot consists of 20 loose rounds of centerfire rifle ammunition chambered in .45-70 Government. These cartridges are designed for use in rifles such as lever-action or single-shot models and feature brass cases with jacketed soft-point projectiles. The projectiles utilize a flat-nose profile consisting of a copper jacket with an exposed lead tip, commonly used for hunting applications. Verbatim markings on the headstamps include the manufacturer code W-W and the caliber designation 45-70 GOVT. These markings identify the ammunition as being manufactured by Winchester-Western. The cartridges are presented as loose rounds without original factory packaging or boxes.
Condition report:
The brass cases show signs of light surface tarnish and minor handling wear typical of loose storage. The exposed lead tips of the projectiles exhibit minor oxidation. Primers are intact and appear to be unfired with no visible striker marks. The ammunition appears to be in live, serviceable condition.
