Description
This Winchester Big Bore Model 94 XTR is a lever-action rifle chambered in .375 Win, designed for heavy-hitting performance in a classic carbine configuration. The rifle features a 20-inch round barrel with a full-length magazine tube, both of which retain a deep, high-polish blued finish that extends to the receiver. The furniture consists of a checkered walnut straight-grip stock and matching forend, both displaying sharp diamond-pattern checkering and minimal wear. Sighting is provided by an adjustable rear buckhorn sight and a hooded ramp front sight. The buttstock is finished with a brown rubber recoil pad featuring the Winchester Repeating Arms logo. Key markings on the left side of the barrel include WINCHESTER ® BIG BORE MODEL 94 XTR – 375 WIN. and MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL. The serial number BB021898 is stamped on the underside of the receiver forward of the lever. This specific model does not feature a manual cross-bolt or tang safety. Condition report:
The rifle appears to be in very good condition. The metal surfaces exhibit a consistent and deep high-polish blued finish with only minor handling marks. The walnut furniture is attractive and well-maintained, showing sharp checkering and only faint surface dings consistent with light handling. While the bore has not been internally inspected, the external condition suggests the firearm has been well-cared for. The lever action functions smoothly and the mechanical components appear to operate correctly, though the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition.
