Description
This Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk is a single-action revolver chambered in .44 Magnum and configured with a 7.5-inch barrel. The firearm features a high-polish blued finish on the frame, barrel, and its distinctive unfluted cylinder. The revolver is equipped with a ramped front sight and an adjustable target-style rear sight, mounted atop a frame designed with a square-back trigger guard for improved recoil management. The furniture consists of smooth wood grips featuring silver-tone Ruger eagle medallions. Key markings include the model designation on the left side of the frame, which reads RUGER® .44 MAGNUM CAL. NEW MODEL SUPER BLACKHAWK®. The top of the barrel is stamped with the manufacturer’s warning and address: BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM — STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. —. The right side of the frame displays the serial number 83-38099. The cylinder shows a light turn line but the overall finish remains deep and consistent. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original blued finish with only a very faint turn line visible on the unfluted cylinder. The bore was not inspected but the external condition suggests a well-maintained firearm. The smooth wood grips are in excellent condition with minimal handling marks and the silver medallions are crisp. The action appears to function correctly, with a positive lockup and a smooth trigger pull, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
