Description
This is a Steyr Mannlicher Pro Hunter bolt action rifle chambered in .270 Winchester, designed as a durable all-weather sporting firearm. The rifle features a 23.6 inch stainless steel barrel with distinctive cold-hammer-forged spiral fluting and a matte black finished receiver. The barreled action is mounted in a black polymer synthetic stock featuring a textured grip, a three-position roller safety located on the tang, and an adjustable length-of-pull recoil pad system bearing the manufacturer’s target logo. The rifle is equipped with two-piece scope rings but is currently missing iron sights and an optic. Key markings include the manufacturer and origin on the left side of the receiver as STEYR MANNLICHER AUSTRIA next to a target logo, with the serial number 3078802 and proof marks accompanied by the letters ZWF stamped near the breech. The barrel is marked 270 Win. with corresponding proof marks and ZWF near the receiver, and SAI, Bessemer, AL PRO HUNTER further down the left side. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in very good overall condition. The matte black finish on the receiver remains largely intact with only minor surface marks. The stainless steel barrel shows a bright finish with well-defined spiral fluting and no significant scratches. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The synthetic stock is in good condition with some light scuffing and handling marks consistent with field use. The recoil pad and spacers are intact and functional. The action cycles smoothly and the three-position safety operates as intended.
