Description
This is a cased Auto-Ordnance 1911-style semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP, part of a limited commemorative series for the Second Amendment Foundation. The firearm features a standard 5 inch barrel and a highly polished gold-plated finish on the slide and frame, accented by silver-toned controls including the trigger, slide stop, thumb safety, hammer, and grip safety. The slide is extensively decorated with black-filled engravings celebrating landmark legal victories, with the top of the slide marked SECOND AMENDMENT FOUNDATION and the barrel hood marked .45 ACP. The right side of the slide features a scroll reading McDONALD VS CHICAGO and the text THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. The left side of the slide is engraved with U.S. VS EMERSON and DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA VS HELLER, accompanied by the phrase THE SECOND AMENDMENT PROTECTS THE RIGHTS OF INDIVIDUALS TO KEEP AND BEAR THEIR OWN FIREARMS. The right side of the frame is marked AUTO-ORDNANCE CORP. WORCESTER, MA above the serial number AOA33411. The pistol is fitted with synthetic ivory-colored grips; the left panel is marked COLORADO 2nd Amendment Foundation and identifies this piece as number 53 OF 100, while the right panel displays a stylized 2 eagle logo and the motto Know Your Rights. The lot is accompanied by a two-tone black and brown presentation case with a blue plush interior, one blued steel magazine, a pair of white cotton handling gloves, a safety cable tie, and case keys. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in excellent, like-new condition. The high-polish gold plating and silver-toned accents remain bright and intact with no observed scratches, wear, or thinning. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The action appears to function correctly with a crisp trigger and smooth slide travel, though we have not function-tested the firearm with live ammunition. The commemorative grips are in fine condition, being free of cracks or chips. The presentation case shows only negligible signs of handling or shelf wear.
