Description
This lot consists of a collection of 25 firearm scope mount bases and accessories along with three original storage boxes. The set includes a contemporary Picatinny rail mounted on an NcSTAR box labeled for Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle and Mini 30 (ITEM#: MRUB), a Weaver Pistol Mount box, and a vintage box from Maynard P. Buehler of Orinda, California. The metal components are primarily blued steel and feature various configurations including one-piece and two-piece bases. Verbatim markings observed on the components include BUEHLER ORINDA, CAL. on several bases, the number 2170 stamped on a central piece, and multiple components bearing the circular R Ruger logo. The assortment provides mounting solutions for a variety of rifles and handguns, specifically Ruger platforms. No firearms or optics are included in this sale.
Condition report:
The collection is in mixed condition ranging from very good to fair. Newer components like the Picatinny rail and items within the Weaver and NcSTAR packaging show minimal wear and retain nearly all of their matte or blued finish. Several of the vintage blued steel Buehler bases exhibit significant surface rust, oxidation, and pitting, particularly on the unfinished underside surfaces. Some components show signs of previous mounting and tool marks around screw holes. The original boxes show significant age-related wear including crushing, edge fraying, and staining.
