Description

A collection of 70 rounds of vintage .22 caliber rimfire ammunition manufactured by Remington Arms Company, Inc. This lot includes two original green and tan cardboard boxes featuring the distinctive red Kleanbore logo and Remington UMC trademarks. The first box is labeled .22 Remington Autoloading Rim Fire specifically for use in the Remington Model No. 16 and bears the production code R31B. The second box is labeled 50 Rim Fire .22 Winchester Cartridges (.22 Remington Special) with Silvadry Bullets and bears the code R28. The cartridges are constructed with copper-colored casings and lead projectiles, and every visible headstamp features the incised letter U associated with the Union Metallic Cartridge Company. Box text includes a comprehensive guarantee and warranty in both English and Spanish, as well as factory markings for New York, Bridgeport, Conn., and Ilion, N.Y. Internal cotton wadding is present within the boxes to protect the contents.

Condition report:

The ammunition appears to be in original and live condition, with the copper casings displaying a naturally aged patina and light surface oxidation. The lead bullets show some dulling and minor oxidation typical for their age. The cardboard packaging is in fair to good condition, showing significant shelf wear including staining, edge fraying, and some tearing at the end flaps. The top box has been reinforced with clear adhesive tape along the top and side panels to stabilize the structure.
