Description
This lot consists of 95 centerfire rifle cartridges in .280 Remington caliber manufactured by Remington. The collection includes four boxes of 165-grain Core-Lokt Soft Point (SP) cartridges and one box of 150-grain Express Core-Lokt Pointed Soft Point (PSP) cartridges. End flap markings on the packaging include 280 REMINGTON, 165 GR. SOFT PT. CORE-LOKT R280R2, and 150 GR. CORE-LOKT PSP R280R1, with all boxes additionally marked as suitable for use in 7mm Express Remington. The cartridge headstamps are marked R-P 280 REM, indicating Remington-Peters manufacture. The ammunition is housed in classic green and yellow Remington commercial boxes, which exhibit various stages of shelf wear. The cartridges consist of brass cases with lead-tipped projectiles.
Condition report:
The cartridges appear to be in good, live condition with the brass casings showing light surface oxidation and tarnish consistent with age. The lead bullet tips show some dulling and oxidation. The commercial packaging exhibits moderate shelf wear, including corner fraying, scuffed surfaces, edge wear, and some minor staining.
