Description
This lot consists of 80 rounds of centerfire rifle ammunition produced by Remington, comprising three 20-round boxes of Remington Express Core-Lokt and one 20-round box of Remington High Velocity. All cartridges are chambered in .35 Whelen and utilize 200-grain Core-Lokt Pointed Soft Point (PSP) or pointed soft point (PTD. SOFT PT.) projectiles designed for medium to large game hunting. Prominent markings on the packaging include the product designations 35 WHELEN 200 GR. CORE-LOKT PSP R35WH1 on the Express boxes and 35 Whelen 200 GR. CORE-LOKT PTD. SOFT PT. R35WH1 on the High Velocity box, with all four boxes labeled as containing 20 Centerfire Rifle Cartridges. The brass casings are headstamped verbatim with R – P 35 WHELEN, indicating manufacture by Remington-Peters. The cartridges feature brass cases and exposed lead tips consistent with hunting ammunition specifications.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in overall good condition, with the brass cases and exposed lead bullet tips showing minor oxidation and darkening consistent with age. The cartridges appear to be live factory loads and remain seated within their respective plastic divider trays. The cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear, including surface scuffing, edge fraying, and minor tearing. The High Velocity box displays a significant area of white adhesive residue and surface paper loss on the front exterior face.
