Description
One Ball-Hamilton 16-size Model 999P Ultra railroad-grade pocket watch accompanied by a wooden presentation box. The watch features a white enamel dial marked Ball Official RR Standard Cleveland with bold black Arabic numerals and a small seconds sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position. The hands are black spade-style. The case is 10 karat gold-filled and features scrolling engraved patterns along the bezel and perimeter. Based on the accompanying documentation, the movement is a 21-jewel railroad-grade caliber with circular damaskeening, sapphire pallets, and gold wheels, adjusted to six positions. The wooden box is laser-engraved with The Hamilton Watch and The Railroad Timekeeper of America above a steam locomotive illustration marked 940. A handwritten note indicates the watch was serviced in 2023.
Condition report:
The watch is in running condition. The dial and hands are in pristine condition. The gold-filled case shows surface scratching on the reverse and visible verdigris oxidation around the bow and crown. The wooden box is in good condition with minor handling wear.
