Description
This Staggs-Bilt Firearms Model 20-30-30 is a lever-action over-under combination rifle and shotgun chambered for 20 gauge shells in the upper barrel and .30-30 Winchester cartridges in the lower barrel. The firearm features a blued finish on the receiver block and the 24 inch barrels. It is equipped with a straight-grained wood stock and forend, both exhibiting a smooth finish and classic profile. The sighting system consists of a ramped front blade sight and an adjustable leaf rear sight mounted on the barrel. A sliding tang safety is located on the upper rear of the receiver for accessible operation. The firearm utilizes a unique lever-action design with double triggers to select between the rifle and shotgun barrels. The butt is finished with a brown ventilated rubber recoil pad marked with the manufacturer name. Key markings on the left side of the receiver block include STAGGS-BILT FIREARMS / PHOENIX, ARIZONA / MODEL 20-30-30 / U.S. PAT. 3276158. The serial number 001614 is clearly stamped on the underside of the receiver frame. The firearm is also fitted with front and rear sling swivel studs. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrels and receiver is in good overall condition, showing light surface scuffing and minor thinning of the finish on high points and moving parts of the action. The wood stock and forend are well-maintained with occasional small dings and handling marks consistent with field use. The action appears to function correctly mechanically, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The bores were not inspected. The brown rubber recoil pad shows some age and minor wear but remains intact.
