Description
This lot consists of a single vintage box of Peters High Velocity shotgun shells containing 25 plastic rounds. The 2 1/2 inch shells are loaded with 1/2 oz. of 7 1/2 shot. The packaging features a distinctive yellow and dark blue color scheme with a central illustration of a mallard duck in flight. Primary markings on the front of the box include Peters, HIGH VELOCITY, and PLASTIC SHOTGUN SHELLS, along with the branding for KLEANBORE PRIMING and Extra Power. The side panel is marked with the product code S410-1/2-7 1/2 and 410 GA. 2 1/2 IN. The reverse side displays the DuPont oval logo and U.S. Patent No. 3,103,170. The box is currently protected by a clear plastic overwrap.
Condition report:
The cardboard box shows signs of age-related wear including softened corners, light edge scuffing, and minor foxing or staining to the yellow surfaces. The box remains structurally intact and is sealed within a secondary plastic protective wrap. The internal ammunition has not been removed for inspection; however, the rounds are assumed to be live and original to the packaging.
