Description
This lot consists of 40 rounds of Winchester Super-X .284 Winchester centerfire rifle ammunition housed in two original twenty-round cardboard boxes. These cartridges are equipped with 150-grain Power-Point soft point (S.P.) projectiles, a design intended for controlled expansion and effective energy transfer. The packaging features the classic white Winchester boxes with red and orange horizontal stripes and the rider logo. Key markings transcribed from the boxes include Winchester, Super-X, 20 Centerfire Rifle Cartridges, 284 Winchester, 150 Gr. Power Point (S.P.), and product code X2842. The headstamps on the brass casings are clearly marked W-W Super 284 Win. The cartridges utilize standard brass cases, Boxer primers, and exposed lead-tipped bullets.
Condition report:
The original cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear, including frayed edges, corner dings, and light surface staining. The ammunition remains in good overall condition for its age; the brass casings show natural tarnishing and light oxidation throughout. The lead tips of the Power-Point bullets show a light layer of white oxidation consistent with long-term storage in original packaging. The cartridges appear to be live and unspent.
