Description
This lot features a group of vintage firearm promotional materials and original factory packaging from Savage Arms and Sturm, Ruger and Company, Inc. The grouping includes Savage Arms 1978 product catalogs featuring illustrated cover art of a lever-action rifle, a rider with a horse, and a profile portrait of a Native American chief. Ruger catalogs present in the lot consist of the 30 Years of Ruger Firearms 1949-1979 anniversary edition, a 1979 catalog for rifles, pistols, and shotguns, and multiple copies of the 1976 Catalog of Ruger Firearms. Two of the 1976 catalogs contain a purple ink dealer stamp in the lower right corner for Gamble Store number 5360, Otto and Ethel, in Verdigre, Nebraska. Also included is a vintage red and black Ruger cardboard factory box adorned with the brand’s wreath and eagle logo containing the interlocking S and R initials.
Condition report:
The catalogs are in good vintage condition with light shelf wear to the covers and edges. Most of the Ruger catalogs are individually housed in plastic storage bags. The Ruger cardboard box exhibits typical wear for its age, including scuffing, edge softening, and minor corner impacts.
