Description
This lot contains nineteen rounds of premium Weatherby centerfire rifle ammunition in .30-378 WBY Magnum caliber. The cartridges are loaded with 180-grain X Bullets and are housed in an original, though partial, factory box featuring an elk illustration. Technical markings on the side of the box identify the product as B303180XS/17672 .30-378 WBY MAGNUM ULTRA-HIGH VELOCITY AMMUNITION with 180 GRAIN X BULLET and specify an original capacity of 20 CARTRIDGES. The individual cartridge headstamps are marked WEATHERBY 30-378 WBY MAG. The packaging includes the slogan Nothing shoots flatter, hits harder or is more accurate. The exterior of the box displays a handwritten Partial note in black marker and an adhesive barcode label from Joe R. Pyle Auctions.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in live condition with the bullets firmly seated in the brass cases. The brass shows minor surface tarnishing and light oxidation consistent with storage, but no heavy corrosion or dents are present. The cardboard box shows light to moderate shelf wear, including scuffing at the edges and corners, along with the previously mentioned handwritten markings and auction sticker.
