Description

This Smith & Wesson Model 686-6 double-action revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum and was issued as a limited Elvis Presley TCB commemorative edition. The firearm features a 6-inch full-lug barrel equipped with a ramp front sight and an adjustable rear sight. The metal surfaces are finished in high-polish stainless steel accented by extensive 24kt gold-plated scrollwork and commemorative engravings. The right side of the frame features a gold-filled portrait of Elvis Presley wearing a cowboy hat, while the left side displays an engraved 1950s-era automobile. The cylinder is further embellished with gold-plated fan and scroll motifs. Key markings include the manufacturer and model designation DAY9829 and 686-6 on the frame crane, and the backstrap is engraved 126 OF 500. Barrel markings specify S&W .357 MAGNUM on the left and SMITH & WESSON on the right, both accompanied by gold-filled facsimile signatures of Elvis Presley. The TCB lightning bolt logo is visible on both sides of the frame. The underside of the barrel is marked AMERICA REMEMBERS AHL, INC. ASHLAND, VA and A & A ENGRAVING Inc. Rapid City, S.D. while the frame underside confirms licensing by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. dated 2006. The revolver is fitted with smooth finger-groove reddish-brown wood laminate grips and features a gold-plated target hammer, trigger, and cylinder release. It is presented in a glass-topped wooden display case with a blue velvet-lined interior and an authorization plaque. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The firearm is in excellent, seemingly unused condition, retaining nearly 100% of its original polished stainless and 24kt gold-plated finish. There are no significant scratches, handling marks, or signs of wear on the metal surfaces or gold accents. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly with crisp timing and secure lockup, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The wood laminate grips are in as-new condition. The wooden presentation case is in very good condition with only minor shelf wear to the exterior.
