Description
This lot contains three boxes of rifle ammunition and reloading components, consisting of 40 live rounds and 20 empty brass casings. The collection includes a partial box of Remington .35 Whelen ammunition containing 20 live rounds with 200 grain Core-Lokt pointed soft point bullets. Also included is a box of Weatherby .30-378 Weatherby Magnum unprimed cartridge cases, containing 20 empty brass casings ready for reloading. The third box is a shrink-wrapped vintage box of 20 Remington Hi-Speed .300 caliber cartridges featuring 180 grain Core-Lokt pointed soft point bullets. Verbatim markings on the packaging include Remington 35 Whelen 200 GR. CORE-LOKT PTD. SOFT PT. R35WH1 and .30-378 Weatherby Magnum UNPRIMED CARTRIDGE CASES BRASS303/27673. The green Remington box is marked HI-SPEED 20 CENTER FIRE CARTRIDGES with the caliber and bullet type identified on the side as 300 180 GRAIN PTD. SOFT POINT CORE-LOKT. Headstamps on the cartridges are clearly marked R-P 35 WHELEN and the magnum cases are marked WEATHERBY 30-378 Wby Mag.
Condition report:
The exterior boxes exhibit typical shelf wear including scuffing, edge wear, and minor corner dings. The Remington Hi-Speed box remains in its original shrink wrap and features the number 765 handwritten in black ink on the top and side panels. The brass casings and cartridges show minor surface tarnish consistent with long-term storage but remain in good overall condition with no significant corrosion. The .35 Whelen and .300 caliber rounds appear to be live factory-loaded ammunition, while the Weatherby .30-378 brass consists of once-fired or unprimed cases with open flash holes. The interior plastic and cardboard dividers are present and intact.
