Description
This lot features a cased pair of RCBS reloading dies chambered for .45-70 Government, presented in an original manufacturer’s green plastic storage case. Although the factory labeling on the case identifies this as an RCBS 3-die set with part number 20904 and Group C classification, only two steel dies are present in the lot. The set includes a full-length sizing and decapping die and a bullet seating die, both featuring knurled bodies and black locking rings for adjustment. Verbatim markings on the sizing die specify RCBS 45-70, while the seating die is marked 45-70 SEAT 3. The end label of the case further indicates that the set is intended for use with shell holder #14. Please note that the expander die, which is typically part of this three-die configuration, is missing from the set.
Condition report:
The dies are in used condition, showing minor surface oxidation and light discoloration on the threaded sections and knurled areas. The decapping pin on the sizing die appears intact. The green plastic storage case shows light exterior wear, surface dirt, and some staining and edge wear to the identification label.
