Description
This is a Belgian-manufactured Browning Auto-5 Magnum semi-automatic shotgun chambered for 12 gauge, 3-inch shells. The firearm is configured with a blued steel barrel featuring a ventilated rib and a blued receiver decorated with traditional floral scroll engravings. The furniture consists of a checkered walnut stock and forend with a high-gloss finish, terminating in a brown ventilated rubber recoil pad. Markings on the left side of the barrel include * SPECIAL STEEL-12 GAUGE-SHELLS 3, while the right side of the barrel is marked BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST. LOUIS Mo. & MONTREAL P.Q. above MADE IN BELGIUM. The receiver is marked on the left side with the manufacturer name BROWNING and model designation Magnum. The serial number 5V 73032 is located on the front underside of the receiver, forward of the loading port. The recoil pad displays the BROWNING name along with U.S. PATENT 1,191,449. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued steel finish on the receiver and barrel shows light handling wear and minor thinning at the edges. Several small spots of surface oxidation and light pitting are present on the exterior of the barrel. The checkered walnut stock and forend are in good overall condition, exhibiting typical minor dings and light surface scratches in the high-gloss finish. The bore is bright and free of visible pitting. The action is smooth and appears mechanically sound. The ventilated recoil pad remains in good condition and is pliable.
