Description
This lot consists of sixty rounds of mixed caliber rifle ammunition from manufacturers Remington and Norma. The collection features nineteen rounds of 7mm Remington Magnum in a Remington Kleanbore Hi-Speed box, loaded with 175-grain soft point Core-Lokt bullets and headstamped 7m/m REM MAG R-P. Also included are twenty rounds of .244 Remington in a Remington Kleanbore box, containing 90-grain pointed soft point bullets with headstamps marked 244 REM REM-UMC. The Norma components consist of ten rounds of .303 British ammunition headstamped NORMA .303 BRITISH and eleven rounds of 7.65 Argentine ammunition. The 7.65 Argentine box displays significant handwritten handloading data indicating a 150-grain Speer bullet with 48 grains of 4895 powder and load dates of 10/16/63 and 8/30/67, while the cartridge headstamps are marked norma Re 7.65.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes show moderate wear, surface scuffing, and minor edge fraying consistent with their age. The brass cartridge cases exhibit a natural aged patina with varying degrees of surface oxidation and tarnish. The soft point bullets show typical lead oxidation on the tips. Handloading information on the 7.65 Argentine box is clear and handwritten in ink. All ammunition appears to be live; however, the 7.65 Argentine rounds should be handled as handloads, and we have not function-tested this ammunition.
