Description
This lot consists of two silver rounds, each containing one troy ounce of .999 fine silver. These are private mint bullion pieces issued under the Silver Trade Unit designation. The obverse features a profile of Liberty inspired by the United States Peace Dollar, accompanied by the inscription LIBERTY and the date 1985. The reverse displays a central balance scale motif surrounded by the inscriptions ONE TROY OUNCE, .999 FINE SILVER, and SILVER TRADE UNIT. Both rounds feature reeded edges.
Total precious metal weight: 2 oz t .999 fine silver.
Condition report:
The rounds exhibit signs of handling consistent with circulation or storage outside of protective capsules, including surface scratches and contact marks. Significant toning is present on both pieces; one round displays heavy, dark mottled tarnish across the obverse field. Both rounds show yellowish-brown oxidation along the reeded edges and rims.
