Description
This Springfield Armory M1A is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, featuring a National Match grade 22 inch barrel with a slotted flash suppressor. The barreled action is finished in a consistent dark gray Parkerized coating and is housed in a tan Archangel brand polymer precision stock. The stock is highly adjustable, offering a black polymer cheek riser and an adjustable length of pull via a thumbwheel at the buttstock, along with a textured pistol grip and a lower forend rail. Sights are comprised of a standard front blade and a military-style aperture rear sight with elevation and windage knobs. This comprehensive lot includes a total of five 20-round capacity magazines, including one gray metal magazine and four black polymer magazines, along with a Springfield Armory branded tactical soft case, factory manuals, a U.S. Army technical manual for the M14 (TM 9-1005-223-12), and a factory hang tag dated 12/12/16 matching the rifle’s serial number. The receiver heel is stamped with US RIFLE M1A / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY followed by the serial number 404038. The barrel is clearly marked NM .308. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its dark gray Parkerized finish with minimal signs of use or handling. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The tan Archangel stock is clean with no significant gouges or wear, and all adjustment mechanisms for the cheek riser and length of pull operate smoothly. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The included magazines, soft case, and manuals are in very good to excellent condition.
