Description
This lot consists of 50 rounds of Remington High Velocity .38-40 Win. centerfire ammunition. These 180 grain jacketed soft-point cartridges are designed for use in both revolvers and rifles. The rounds feature brass cases with nickel-plated primers and are stored in an original green and yellow two-piece cardboard box with a white plastic grid insert. Visible markings on the packaging include High Velocity, 50 CENTER FIRE CARTRIDGES, and 180 GRAIN SOFT POINT, along with the product code R3840W and the advisory (FOR USE IN ALL REVOLVERS & RIFLES). The headstamps on the brass cases are marked verbatim as R – P and 38-40 WIN.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good overall condition and appears to be live. The brass cases show light surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with age, while the jacketed soft-point bullets exhibit minor lead oxidation at the tips. The green and yellow cardboard box displays moderate shelf wear, including scuffing, rounded corners, and some fraying and paper loss at the edges and flaps. The white plastic interior tray is intact.
