Description
This Smith & Wesson K-32 Target Masterpiece, commonly referred to as the Pre-Model 16, is a double-action revolver chambered for the .32 Long cartridge. The firearm features a 6-inch barrel equipped with a pinned front ramp sight and a micro-click adjustable rear target sight. The metalwork is finished in a highly polished bright nickel, while the hammer and trigger are case-hardened. The revolver is fitted with checkered walnut diamond-pattern grips featuring silver-tone Smith and Wesson medallions. Verbatim markings include SMITH and WESSON on the left side of the barrel and .32 LONG CTG. on the right side. The right side of the frame bears a large Smith and Wesson trade mark logo and the four-line address MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH and WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. The serial number K 68491 is stamped on the frame butt and the underside of the barrel, with 68491 repeated on the rear cylinder face. Assembly numbers 7933 2 and W 7 are stamped on the yoke and frame. The lot includes a black zippered soft case. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in very good condition overall. The polished nickel finish exhibits light surface scratches and handling marks consistent with moderate use. The case-hardened hammer and trigger retain bright, visible colors. The checkered walnut grips show moderate wear with some finish loss visible on the underside near the butt. The bore is bright with strong, distinct rifling, and the action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
