Description
This is a Ruger Model M77 bolt-action rifle chambered in .22-250 caliber, manufactured as a commemorative edition for the American Bicentennial. The rifle features a high-gloss blued barrel and receiver, with the barrel displaying the manufacturer information STURM, RUGER & CO. INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. and the commemorative inscription MADE IN THE 200th YEAR OF AMERICAN LIBERTY. The receiver is marked with the model designation RUGER M77 and the serial number 71-86193, while the barrel is stamped with the caliber .22-250. It is fitted with a checkered walnut stock that includes a black pistol grip cap with the Ruger logo and a red rubber recoil pad also embossed with the Ruger phoenix. The rifle is topped with a Bushnell Banner 3x-9x variable power scope, marked JAPAN, featuring a fine crosshair reticle and mounted using Ruger’s integral scope ring system. Sling swivel studs are present on both the forend and the buttstock. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain nearly all of their original high-gloss blued finish, with only minor handling wear visible on the bolt handle and near the muzzle. The checkered walnut stock is in very good condition, showing only a few faint dings and light surface scratches consistent with careful use. The optics are clear, and the reticle is intact. The action appears to function smoothly, although the rifle has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The bore was not inspected but appears well-maintained based on external condition.
