Description
This Miroku Special Police Model is a double-action service revolver chambered in .38 Special. The firearm features a 4-inch barrel equipped with a fixed serrated ramp front sight and a square notch rear sight integrated into the top strap. The metal surfaces are finished in a deep bluing, while the hammer and trigger display distinctive color case hardening. The revolver is fitted with two-piece checkered walnut grips featuring inset brass-toned medallions marked with the BC Miroku logo. Verbatim markings include MIROKU FIREARMS MFG. CO. followed by a circled 1 on the right side of the frame, while the barrel is marked SPECIAL POLICE MODEL on the right side and .38 SPECIAL CALIBER on the left. The butt of the grip frame is stamped with the serial number 25996 and MIROKU JAPAN. An alphanumeric inventory or owner’s mark is hand-etched on the interior of the trigger guard. This lot includes the revolver, an acrylic display stand, and a black Bagmaster padded soft case. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in good condition, retaining approximately 90-95 percent of its original blued finish with light edge wear at the muzzle and a visible turn line on the six-shot cylinder. The bore is bright with sharp, distinct rifling. The checkered wood grips are well-preserved with minor handling marks and some light oxidation present on the medallions. The color case hardening on the trigger and hammer remains vibrant. The action appears to function correctly in both single and double-action modes, although we have not function-tested this firearm.
