Description
This is a single-action revolver manufactured by the United States Patent Fire Arms Mfg. Co. (USPFA) of Hartford, Connecticut, chambered in .357 S&W. The revolver is configured with a 7.5-inch barrel featuring a fixed blade front sight and a v-notch rear sight. The metal surfaces exhibit a high-polish blued finish on the barrel, ejector rod housing, cylinder, and grip frame, while the frame and hammer display vibrant color case hardening. It is fitted with smooth, one-piece walnut grips. Key markings include the caliber designation on the left side of the barrel FOR 357 S & W CTG. and the manufacturer information on the top of the barrel + U.S. PT. F.A. MFG. Co HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. +. The left side of the frame is stamped with two-line patent dates – PAT. JULY. 25. 1871. – and – PAT. JULY. 2. 1872. -. The serial number P126676 is located on the frame, with matching numbers 126676 on the trigger guard and the butt. This lot includes the original factory box bearing labels celebrating the 140th anniversary of Colt’s Old Armoury, an instruction manual, and a 2018 sales receipt. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent condition, retaining nearly all of its original blued finish and vibrant case colors. There is a very faint turn-line on the cylinder and minimal handling marks. The wood grips are excellent with no significant dings or scratches. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The action appears to function correctly with solid lock-up, though it has not been function-tested. The accompanying factory box and manual are in good condition.
